The Cabins

Distinctive, is the word that comes to mind when staying in each of our unique cabins. Each of our six cabins is equipped with a mini kitchen, a sitting area, a rustic front porch, and a private bathroom. The furniture is handmade. Each rustic lodgepole bed is covered with a handmade quilt in such varied patterns as the "Log Cabin, Trip Around the World, and The Snowball". You will be exquisitely comfortable. Your cabin will be cozy, clean and efficiently maintained with daily maid service. Hunters and antique buffs will get a kick out of our hand-crafted antler light fixtures, which first became popular in the 1890's in Teddy Roosevelt's time. Each completely modern cabin is furnished with delightful turn of the century artifacts and accessories.

Our first resort cabin was built in the early 1940's and was remodeled in the year 2002. It has the feel of a gold prospector's cabin. ( Gold was discovered on nearby Caribou Mountain in 1870). The cabin is found at the headwaters of our springs. If you are interested in frontier history, this cabin may be an enjoyable option for you.

Other cabins we have are situated on the pinnacle of a high hill overlooking the expanse of the resort backed by the sweeping pines of the Caribou National Forest. The cabins have such varied names as "Elk View", "Spring View" and "Pine View". They are constructed of hand peeled logs and feature "porcupine chew" lodge pole pine pillars. All these cabins are situated as to have an unimpeded view of the canyon and the resort with the utmost care taken for privacy.

If you like to stay close to moving waters and spectacular pools of pristine spring water, then the "Romeo Cabin", with its view of a waterfall, may be the perfect spot to renew your relationship with your spouse. The "Enchanted Forest Cabin", with its sculptural landscaping and ancient tree is located a stone's throw from a pond inhabited by trophy sized trout. You could spend an evening relaxing on your porch watching the trout feed and jump.
